Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered in a search box are sent to the separate provider that supplies those results; the directory’s servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the material in that message and is used to respond.

Like most hosted services, the site may receive server-log data such as an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate use helps maintain the service and understand readership. Cookies or similar tools may support essential analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the directory, diagnose technical issues, measure traffic, and improve its content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.

Links may lead to Dauphin County and Pennsylvania portals, library or archive collections, and outside search services. Each destination follows its own privacy practices. That includes sponsored-result services, which are provided independently.
